SPOOK FEST EVENTS
Jumping Jack-O-Lanterns!
Unlike the Previous year, this show is now a Cross Country Event! We have placed various carved pumpkins in the woods, swamp, marsh, and beach surrounding the stables. You must 'collect' as many pumpkins as you can on your excursion through these varying terrains, and this event will be held closer to sunset, as to keep it spooky~.
GOAL
Take pictures of each pumpkin you come across on your trip through the woods, each will be marked with indication numbers so we know where you are and how well you are doing. These Pictures must be sent to the Judges immediately, in case of accidents or emergencies. These terrains may look safe, but anything can happen to a horse and rider if they are not careful out in the swamp or Marshes. The Paths will be lit by both the Jack-O-Lanterns as well as hanging lanterns, to make it easier to see your way once it starts getting dark.
NOTE
There may be possible predators on the course! The area in the swamps and marsh are prone to alligators, water moccasins, and the occasional invasive pythons and boas. Take heed! What do I need to Draw?
Draw a picture of your horse and rider either on the beach, deep into the woods, the marsh, or the swamp. Things you Should Include in your picture are: A carved, Numbered Pumpkin (There are 50 in total), Your Horse, Your Rider, Accurate Representation of the time of day (Since this event will be held at Sunset, the sun will be sinking into the water of the beach since this is on the west coast of Florida).

Zombie Tent Pegging
For those of you who don't know what tent pegging is, this is a good resource. The object to this even is to spear as many small, foam, zombie heads on the field as possible. These nasty creatures are popping out of the ground like daisies, looking for living flesh! And it is your job to put a stop to it in the most effective way possible. By taking off their heads of course!
GOAL
To collect all 10 heads popping out of the ground in the field and then throw your spear into a hanging stuffed Zombie in a tree, though the wind is going to be a little fierce, so keep your eye on the target, and aim for the head!
What do I need to Draw?
Draw Your Horse and Rider Running and spearing the Zombies right out of the ground, or throwing your provided spear into the final zombie. These zombies look a tad too realistic, some are even animated, so horse spooking is bound to happen! Things You should include in your picture are: Your Horse and Rider, a spear, a Zombie either coming out of the ground or 'hanging' from a tree, accurate representation of the time of day (See Below).

The Headless Hunt
This may be the scariest game of Hide and Seek you'll ever play! Horses and Riders will be given 2 hours in the woods, marsh, and swamp to try and evade the headless horseman himself! The torches and pumpkins from the Jumping Jack-O-Lanterns event will be removed before entering into the woods, and the teams will be allowed 10 minutes to run an hide. After 10 minutes there will be a loud cannon blast to signal the Horseman Arrival into the game, and the hunt begins!
GOAL
Evade the Horseman! He's out for revenge and your horse and rider both look good for the decapitating! You have two hours to keep hidden or try to run and evade him. He will be equipped with water balloons filled with red paint in order to 'tag you' and mark you out of the game. Once out of the game, we will provide you with 'Horseman gear', which is a cloak and your own set of colored water balloons (Not red of course) to aid him in his hunt for riders.
What do I need to Draw?
Draw Your horse and rider in one of many ways, either Hiding from, Running from, or assisting the Horseman. The Horseman will be the grounds Keeper for ASA, Graven, who is about 6'6" and bulked out with muscle, but all you may see of him is the dark riding costume of the horseman
. His mount will be the lovely 7759 I Dream Of Coffee, though she will have a bit of her own make-up on, including paint over hr markings and maybe some false scars. Things You should include in your picture: Your Horse and Rider, The Horsemen, accurate representation of time of day(see below).

NoneThings You May Need to Know
Unlike most places, Florida doesn't really experience the changing of the seasons in the same way many places do. Many trees, if not all, do not change colors until late November, or even December, so everything is still green throughout October. We also have some quite unique terrain!
